Hey! I'm damn near sixty. How'd that happen? Oh well. Here's a picture of some baby turtles in our pond. Each one is about as big around as a half-dollar.

I was just thinking - oh, never mind. I can't remember what it was, now.

Back Again

My how the time flies. It sure do.
Since I last posted I've been to New Orleans twice, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and other points of interest in that area. And a little town that should be on everyone's list of places to see before you die - Chloride Arizona.
I've laid off WOW. I did some serious artwork. Installed some insulated windows in my house. Wrote some poetry. Dug a hole in the backyard. Uh oh. Ran out of stuff to say.

New Zombie Blog

I just started a new blog. It's called 'I Think My Neighbor Is A Zombie' . Check it out. It's all true. Really.

Writing

I play World of Warcraft. I put in about an hour a night. I don't do any group things, just solo stuff. The reason I mention this is because they have a short story contest - God bless 'em - and I just submitted a 7500 word tale of Dwarves, Orcs and the ever popular Scourge. I know enough about the game and the world it presents that I believe I did not make any glaring mistakes in my own representation. I had fun writing it. Maybe I'll be able to post it here when the winners are chosen and the rights revert back to me ( assuming I don't win ). Maybe I'll write another. Anyway, I went to Google and searched for writing contests and, after sifting through all the hits, found a few interesting prospects. So I'm off and running, I think. I sort of like the idea of a deadline. Which reminds me, there's one coming up on Tuesday. Gulf Coast is the name of the publication. It's a literary journal, published twice a year I think. They're asking for short fiction( 500 words or less) or poetry. Later

I'm Back

I didn't know I had been gone. I'm back now. It was a self-imposed exile brought about by those stupid cyborg stories I've been posting. When I read them and realized I had written them I insisted I should stop and I did. I didn't mean to stop everything, just the cyborg stuff. I guess I misunderstood myself. That's all in the past now and I am back on track, wherever that is. I'm going to take a little nap now.

The New Boyfriend / The Cyborg Chronicles Part 3

She didn’t understand the routine. Did not know the protocol. She didn’t even know her new boyfriend’s brother had a key and therefore felt justified in her reaction and betrayed when she learned the truth. So now they all sat around the small living room, including the brother’s flakey girlfriend, trying to work things out. That’s when the cyborg came in and killed them all.
